There is hope. The diary of a traveling man who's wife is pregnant. She had had two miscarriages. DNA tests showed that she has a mutation on one of her MTHFR genes that likely caused blood clots in the placenta. Treatment with blood thinners and folic acid supplements resulted in the live birth of a beautiful baby boy. And now, we are pregnant again.

First let me say Congradulations on you and your wife being pregnant. Second I would like to Thank you for your site. My husband and I have recently suffered two miscarriages in a years time. It was very confusing to us since I have a very healthy 10-year old son from a previous relationship. I have recently been told that I too have the MTHFR mutation and I have a protein S deficiency as well. We have been very upset by the outcome so far but are now optimistic about possibly being able to try again. We are being sent to a specialist in early March, and he will let me know if we are able to try again. I will keep you posted on how it all works out and I will definitely continue reading your site to see how everything works out for you and your wife.
Again I thank you for this, it is comforting knowing that we are not the only ones. I wish you and your wife the best of luck with everything.
Becky
